![]() ![]() I think it'll be awhile before stock dries up to the point where they'll have the current firmware on it it by default. I got a drive that was manufactured in January 2017 so they're pretty old out there, but firmware released in January stopped it from working. Also, the last I checked, it seems like they're trying to close that back door, but I believe you can downgrade the firmware back to a capable firmware on the drive. So that's why having a real drive is actually worse than having a UHD friendly drive. That said, these UHD friendly drives work because they have a back door that bypasses the security that real UHD drives are required to do. ![]() I jumped on it only to realize without an HDR display, the rips don't do me any good since I don't have anything that will tone map it down to SDR. ![]()
